SPECIFICATIONS
MicroPro Sienna TOUGH is treated to a higher level of preservative protection, but with the same colour and all the environmental advantages of MicroPro Sienna.
The difference you’ll recognize on 2" Sienna treated to GROUND CONTACT (in addition to the end tag) are fine incisions on the surface of the wood that allow for better preservative penetration. Incising also helps to reduce surface splitting by decreasing the surface tension.

Where to use MicroPro Sienna TOUGH?
Tougher protection is needed when using treated wood in situations that simulate ground contact conditions:
• Decks built close to the ground (less than 6" or 150 mm)
• Decks enclosed with solid skirting that prevents air circulation
• Raised garden beds
• Freshwater docks
